Your Writing and Mine
Writing shared by Workshop Participants
If you have attended a workshop and would like to share some of your writing, send it in via the Contact Us page.
At every workshop participants write from the heart. Various exercises are used to guide the writing, but what comes out is what is inside wanting to make its way into the light. Sometimes this is so well hidden that it surprises, even shocks, the writer; but it’s always better out in the open than it is hidden away because that’s where it can cause trouble! Some of our writing is fun and light hearted, and some of it is heart rending and painful. Whatever we write though, can be therapeutic, it can be good for us if we allow it to be.
The following is a fun exercise we did recently using an Acrostic: What’s Going On…
We’re at
Healing Place
Acknowledging the need to
Think about
Stressors in our lives.
Gaining
Observation and
Insights, even Interpretation
Navigating and
Generating goals.
Overcoming
Negativity.

From Goals
…….If you don’t know what you are aiming for it’s very hard to hit it!
When we set goals it helps us choose where we want to go in life. Knowing what we want to achieve helps us concentrate our efforts and, importantly, helps us recognise the distractions that can, so easily, lead us astray.
From Searching for Myself
I often hear people say, “I’m trying to find myself” or “I don’t know who I am anymore” or “I don’t think I’ve ever really known the real me.” Have you ever said that to yourself? Or to someone else? Sometimes when something big happens to us it can shake us up a bit and cause us to ask questions we might never have considered otherwise…
Looking, looking everywhere,
Under here, over there,
Where could I be?
I can’t be that hard to find.
